Source: Prices published by the businesses themselves and saved by LocusPilot: 22 agency packages and their add-on prices, 20 freelancer listings, 12 agency and 6 freelancer care plans, 6 website builders, 6 hosting plans, 4 domain registrars and 6 copywriting rates. Agency and freelancer ranges run from the 25th to the 75th percentile; the builder range runs from the cheapest builder to the dearest. For agencies and freelancers, monthly is hosting at its regular price after any intro deal. For builders, it is the plan's price per month on yearly billing. Year one adds a .com domain at its regular yearly price, except on builder plans that include a free first-year domain. Inputs: 8 pages, a contact form, and words you write yourself. Last checked: November 2026.

How to use it

  1. Set the page count and tick what the site needs. Count every service and area page, since the home page alone is rarely the whole site.
  2. Choose who writes the words and who makes changes after launch. Paying for the writing raises the build price; paying for updates raises the monthly one.
  3. Compare the four columns and open Sources to see the price behind each number. Copy the link if you want to keep the estimate or send it to someone.

Common questions

From prices the sellers published themselves: agency package pages, freelancer listings on Fiverr, Upwork and Dribbble, freelancers' own price pages, and the pricing pages of Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Hostinger, Webflow and Durable, plus hosting, domain and copywriting prices. We saved a copy of every page along with the exact price wording. Nothing comes from a quote form or a sales call. The Sources list under the calculator links each one with the date we checked it.
Because two markets share one column. The Fiverr and Upwork gigs we saved have a median of $250. Freelancers selling from their own site or from Dribbble have a median of $1,500. The range is the middle half of both together, so when a freelancer quotes you, check which of the two markets the quote comes from.
For an agency or freelancer, if you update the site yourself, monthly is hosting and nothing else. We use each host's regular price: five of the six hosts we checked show an intro price that goes up at renewal. On 1 November 2026, Hostinger's Premium web hosting showed $2.49 a month, but only on a 48-month prepay, and it renews at $10.99. Some agencies make their own plan a condition of the build: one $2,500 package we saved requires its $89-a-month hosting and care plan for at least 12 months, so ask before you compare. Pick "Someone else does" under Upkeep and the agency and freelancer columns switch to published care plans, which run from about $50 to $200 a month.
The build, 12 months of hosting or a care plan, and a .com domain at its regular yearly price. Promo domain prices are left out on purpose: on 1 November 2026 GoDaddy listed a .com at $0.01, but only with a 3-year purchase, and $22.99 a year after that. Builder plans that come with a free first-year domain skip the domain cost. Your own time is not counted, and neither are ads or paid apps, apart from the booking add-on a builder needs when you tick online booking.
Both ways to pay. The starter site is one payment for one site up to its page limit. Operator is the monthly plan, built for people who run several sites. The table above names the price of each. Hosting is included on both, and you buy the domain yourself. AI builds the site from your business details, words included, and no designer works on it. After launch you make changes yourself with the AI Site Agent, paid per message on the starter site and included up to a daily limit on Operator. If you want a person to do your updates, budget for that separately.
