Content Depth Levels Explained
Content depth controls how detailed your service pages, homepage, and location pages will be. Deeper content provides better topical coverage for search engines but takes longer to generate.
Why Content Depth Matters for SEO
Search engines reward pages that comprehensively cover a topic. A service page with 2-3 short paragraphs can rank, but a page that explains the service, its process, common problems it solves, cost factors, and answers frequently asked questions tells search engines "this page is the authority on this topic."
This isn't about word count for its own sake. It's about covering the topic thoroughly so that relevant terms, concepts, and entities are naturally present in your content. When your page mentions specific tools, certifications, brand names, and technical terms that competitors use, search engines see your page as more relevant and trustworthy.

What About Blog Posts?
Blog posts are not affected by the content depth setting. They are separately optimized by our content optimization regardless of which depth level you choose. The content depth setting only affects service pages, the homepage, and location pages.
What Are Entities?
When you review your site structure, you'll see a list of "entities" for each service page. These are specific terms and concepts that our AI will naturally weave into your content:
- Technical terms — specific parts, tools, and methods (e.g., "evaporator coil", "P-trap")
- Brand names — equipment manufacturers your business works with (e.g., "Daikin", "Rheem")
- Certifications — licenses and standards (e.g., "EPA certified", "Licensed Master Plumber")
- Process terms — procedures and techniques searchers expect to find
This is not keyword stuffing. Entities are placed naturally within your content to demonstrate real expertise about the subject. Search engines use these signals to determine whether your content has genuine topical depth.
Which Level Should I Choose?
| Your Situation | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Simple local service, low competition | Standard |
| Moderate competition, want to stand out | Comprehensive |
| High-value services (legal, medical, financial) | Authority |
| Competitive niche with many local competitors | Comprehensive or Authority |
| Just want a quick professional website | Standard |
| Building a long-term authority site | Authority |
| Not sure | Comprehensive (good balance) |
Can I Change Later?
